Martin Ellins

After the departure of Ricky due to family illness, the search was on for a top notch lead guitarist and thanks to a recommendation from X-Blulix bandmate Dave's missus we found the perfect fit in Martin Ellins (pictured left) who some might have seen performing on the club and cabaret circuite with 60s to 80s covers band Class.

Brief History
Martin Ellins was first inspired to play guitar after hearing Eric Clapton's version of All Your Love with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Other early influences were:- Peter Green, Jimmy Page and Ritchie Blackmore.
Whilst working as a professional guitarist, he attended the London College of Music to study Classical Guitar and Composition to broaden his horizons.
He was awarded a Licentiate of the London College of Music Performance Diploma and has played at many festivals including Greenwich and Cheltenham. He has also played at the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, Amsterday and on BBC Radio.
Martin continues to study and play his first love, the Blues!
